Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of responsible experience as an elevator mechanic or in related vertical transportation systems.
• Two years of post high school vocational/technical education may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of elevators, dumb waiters, lifts, hoists, and escalators to determine compliance with Ohio and City of Cincinnati codes.
• Read and interpret elevator plans, specifications, and applicable codes to identify deviations and ensure safety.
• Prepare reports and correspondence; establish effective working relationships with staff, contractors, property owners, and the public.
