OMAKAI Hand Roll Bar in River North, Chicago, IL is seeking friendly Hand Roll Bar Servers to own the full guest experience at the counter. You will take and manage orders, handle modifications, and ensure accurate timing while maintaining a warm, attentive presence.

Two years of serving experience are required; Japanese cuisine knowledge is a plus. The role involves beverage service, table turnover, and guest recovery with professionalism and hospitality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Two years of serving experience required.
• Must be available for at least 2 lunches per week and willing to work at least 1 double per week.
• Certifications: SafeServe, alcohol serving, allergy compliance, and sexual harassment prevention required, and can be obtained during training.
• Japanese cuisine knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and manage guest orders with modifications and allergies.
• Maintain proactive table presence and hospitality.
• Clear and reset tables, pre-bus, and run food to tables.
• Serve beverages and explain dishes to guests as needed.
• Respond to guest needs and resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
• Follow SOPs and complete side work for opening, running, and closing shifts.
