Job summary

The Bungalow Huntington Beach is seeking a Food Runner to ensure dishes reach guests promptly, at the correct temperature, and with warm, professional hospitality in a fast-paced California bistro. This role is the essential link between kitchen and dining room, supporting the service team and expediting food to the highest standards of presentation.

You will support servers and bussers, communicate timing between kitchen and dining room, and uphold health and safety standards while assisting

Qualifications

• California Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or hospitality experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience with POS and kitchen display systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food promptly to tables and guests at proper temperature.
• Verify order accuracy, presentation, and completeness before service.
• Assist the expediter by organizing tickets, staging plates, and timing.
• Provide warm, attentive service and relay guest requests to staff.
• Keep runner stations and service areas clean; support with side work.
