**Job Description:**

Join General Dynamics IT and be part of a team solving complex technical challenges. We seek a Database Analyst Expert to lead the data team for the DMDC ELEs2 program.

This is a remote working opportunity.

As the Database Expert, you will manage and maintain DBMS software, focusing on installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restores, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.

Essential Duties:

• Planning backup and recovery strategies
• Performing database backups and restores
• Engaging with vendors for support
• Managing high availability, performance tuning, troubleshooting
• Supporting database creation, integrity, change management
• Ensuring DoD cybersecurity compliance during patching
• Analyzing and improving database applications
• Mentoring junior DBAs
• Performing DR exercises and capacity planning
• Providing on-call support
• Developing shell scripts as needed
• Maintaining backup procedures and capacity reports
• Responding to data quality issues

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL
• Experience in Linux and Windows Server environments
• Experience with high availability solutions
• Knowledge of replication technologies (ASM, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years installing and maintaining DBMS software
• Platform certification (e.g., Oracle OCP)
• IAT III certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, GCIH, GCED)
• TS/SCI clearance
