SUMMARY

Elemis is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager of Amazon Supply Chain to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations on the Amazon Seller Central platform. This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory management, streamlined logistics and shipping processes, accurate management of Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) fees, and the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central and have a proven track record of effectively managing supply chain functions within the Amazon ecosystem. Experience within the beauty industry is highly preferred. This role will collaborate closely with warehouse teams to facilitate seamless Amazon order fulfillment and inventory transfer processes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management

1. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize holding costs, and prevent stockouts on Amazon.
2. Utilize Amazon Seller Central tools and reports to monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and proactively address potential inventory issues.
3. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize replenishment strategies, and improve inventory turnover.
4. Collaborate with internal Amazon channel to align inventory plans with promotional activities and sales forecasts.

Logistics & Shipping

1. Manage and optimize inbound and outbound logistics processes for Amazon FBA.
2. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping.
3. Troubleshoot shipping issues and work to resolve delays or discrepancies.
4. Ensure compliance with Amazon's shipping guidelines and requirements.

FBA Fee Management

1. Monitor and analyze Amazon FBA fees, including storage fees, fulfillment fees, and other associated costs.
2. Identify opportunities to optimize FBA fee structures and minimize expenses.
3. Reconcile FBA fee statements and address any discrepancies.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

1. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management (e.g., stockout rate, inventory turnover, carrying cost), and logistics efficiency.
2. Generate regular reports on inventory performance, logistics metrics, and FBA costs.
3. Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Warehouse Collaboration

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse teams regarding Amazon order fulfillment and inventory transfer processes.
2. Develop and maintain clear communication channels and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse interactions related to Amazon.
3. Coordinate the timely and accurate processing of Amazon orders and shipments from the warehouse.
4. Manage inventory transfers between warehouses and Amazon FBA, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Amazon Seller Central Expertise

1. Demonstrate strong proficiency in utilizing Amazon Seller Central for inventory management, shipping management, and reporting.
2. Stay up-to-date on Amazon's policies, tools, and best practices related to supply chain operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS

1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, specifically within the Amazon ecosystem.
3. Proven expertise in utilizing Amazon Seller Central for inventory management and logistics.
4. Strong understanding of FBA operations, fees, and best practices.
5. Experience with ERP systems or other inventory management software.
6. Experience managing relationships and processes with warehouse teams.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
11. Highly preferred: Experience working within the beauty industry and understanding its specific supply chain nuances.
