Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors - DuPage County is seeking knowledgeable, reliable tutors to join our in-home private tutoring team. You will work one-on-one with students across K-12, tailoring instruction to fit individual learning styles.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and either teaching certification or current enrollment in a certification program, plus 2+ years of teaching experience. We value energetic, professional, and organized tutors with strong communication.

Qualifications

• All applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following.
• Hold a valid Illinois State teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).
• Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
• Have 2+ years of experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school.
• Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Are a Master’s or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with the Illinois curriculum standards.
• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.
• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.
