Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors in Los Angeles is seeking qualified elementary teachers and tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one support to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 across the Northern Los Angeles area.

We look for educators who are passionate about helping elementary students reach their full potential through individualized instruction tailored to each child's needs, with flexible scheduling and ongoing professional support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential preferred.
• Valid California Multiple Subject Credential preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (K–6).
• Support students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core subjects.
• Assist with homework, study skills, and foundational learning strategies.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide updates to families.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area.
