Job summary

Henderson County Schools' Glenn C. Marlow Elementary in Mills River, NC seeks a Tutor (General) for the 26-27SY term. The role covers small-group and individual instruction, working with the principal and assigned staff, starting Aug 3, 2026 and ending May 28, 2027.

Qualifications

Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework.
Teaching licensure (Current or Expired) to receive higher rate of pay.
Minimum of three years’ experience as a classroom teacher is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement high-quality tutoring experiences for students that include assessing students’ individual needs, providing individual and small group instruction to students based on those needs, and supporting the use of digital tools during tutoring sessions.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to determine specific student needs.
Communicate and collaborate with the staff about student progress.
