Job summary

McKeesport Area School District in McKeesport, PA seeks an Elementary Title I Facilitator to support students with targeted instruction and behavioral regulation in a designated reflection space. The role reports to building administrators and is a day-to-day, full-time position.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (Education preferred) and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment to assist with language arts and math skills, small-group work, and routine

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Degree in Education preferred.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working with and supporting children.
• Demonstrate aptitude, competence, and professional judgment for all assigned administrative and student-support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a dedicated cool-down and reflection space under administrative direction, providing a calm, structured environment for students who require a temporary break from the classroom to regulate their emotions and behaviors.
• Guide students through reflective and restorative practices, de-escalation strategies, and self-regulation techniques to help them process challenges and successfully transition back to academic instruction.
• Work with students in language arts and/or math skills not mastered in the classroom as designated by administration.
• Work with students one-to-one or in small groups to reinforce basic skills.
• Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records regarding student progress, reflection space visits, and behavioral observations for administrative review.
• Help administer, score, and record achievement and diagnostic tests as assigned by building administration.
