Qualifications

• Holds or is eligible for a New Jersey Instructional Certificate with appropriate endorsement (i.e., Computer Science 1820).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in subject field(s) assigned and meets standards established by NJDOE.
• Provides activities to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Employs instructional methods and materials to meet stated objectives.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Works with staff to meet pupil needs.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards with administrator support.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing professional growth.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees.
• Prepares for classes and develops lesson plans aligned to curriculum goals.
