Job summary

Highland Renaissance Academy in Charlotte, NC seeks a temporary elementary school teacher to provide instruction under moderate supervision. You will develop lesson plans, supervise and assess students, and ensure alignment with Board policies and school goals.

The position is full-time for 10 months with benefits. You will work on-site, collaborate with PLCs, and implement core standards while maintaining a positive learning environment that supports all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC certification.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Schedule/Full-time, 10 months.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws and procedures.
• Follow NC Teaching Standards in daily instruction.
• Assist administration with policy implementation and student conduct.
• Plan and deliver content that meets diverse student needs.
• Instruct individuals and groups using varied methods.
• Prepare class materials and classroom for activities.
• Coordinate assessments, test administration, and scoring.
• Maintain records for IEPs and 504 plans.
• Engage families to discuss progress and support.
