Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) seeks an Elementary Classroom Teacher for Reggio Magnet School of the Arts. The role supports PreK-Grade 5 students in a diverse, social-justice oriented setting, under the Building Principal’s supervision, with a focus on high-quality instruction aligned to state standards.

The candidate will develop curriculum, differentiate instruction, assess progress, and foster metacognitive and literacy skills, using technology and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
• Promote a classroom environment safe for individualized and small-group instruction and student learning.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to Common Core; translate plans into learning experiences.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress; modify instructional methods as needed.
• Comply with all CREC policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
