Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.
• Valid Alaska teaching certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Masters' degree preferred.
• Attendance at Literacy Institute and/or further training in the teaching of reading.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal, Literacy Coach, and Instructional Support Team on instructional strategies and assessments.
• Monitor progress and analyze data to inform instruction.
• Focus on early childhood best practices in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Build strong relationships with families and staff to meet students' social, emotional and instructional needs.
• Learn and implement new instructional techniques and ongoing assessment methods.

Education
