Job summary

St Stephen's Indian School in Wyoming (BIE) seeks an Elementary Teacher to provide instructional leadership in a community-based setting on or near the Reservation.

The position requires a school year contract under Public Law 95-561 with annual renewal; not suitable for telework.

Candidates must meet education and licensure requirements and be prepared to engage with students, families, and tribal partners.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited education institution.
• Must possess a valid teacher certification/licensure in the appropriate endorsement area; emergency and provisional certificates may be accepted under conditions issued by the State certification authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as classroom teacher in a BIE school on or near the Reservation.
• Maintain a professional classroom environment and fulfill duties per school policies.
