Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning within district resources.
• Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media suited to location and student needs.
• Strives to implement district education philosophy and objectives.
• Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Evaluates student progress regularly.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Upholds school rules, regulations, and board policy.
• Be available to students/parents outside instructional hours as needed.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
• Cooperates with staff in planning instructional goals and methods.
• Assists in selecting instructional books, equipment, materials.
• Assists in co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Establishes open communication with students and parents about progress.
• Establishes cooperative relations with others.
• Pursues ongoing professional growth through reading, workshops, and courses.
