Job summary

PowerSchool seeks a Professional/Certified Elementary Teacher for an assigned campus in West, TX. This exempt role reports to the Principal and focuses on delivering rigorous core instruction aligned with TEA guidelines.

The teacher will prepare lessons, assess student progress, collaborate with staff, and engage families. Requires a Bachelor's degree and Texas teaching certificate; 1+ year student teaching or internship preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Competency in the core academic subject area assigned and TEA guidelines.
• Ability to instruct and manage student behavior with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district curriculum and show written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
