Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned, including K-5 standards

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum
• Create accommodations for different learning styles
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for diverse learners
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress
• Collaborate with special education staff to support IEPs
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning
