Job summary

Pawtucket School Department is seeking an Elementary Teacher to implement the curriculum under the direction of the school administrator. The role involves planning engaging lessons, guiding student growth, and communicating with families to support student Success for Every Student.

Required RI Teaching Elementary Grades K-6 certification and a Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of three years teaching experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid RI Teaching Elementary Grades K-6 certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum three years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Guides achievement of curriculum goals and differentiates instruction as needed.
• Establishes clear objectives for lessons and communicates them to students and parents.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes and maintains records.
• Prepares and maintains instructional materials and prepares for classes in advance.
• Communicates with students, staff, parents, and the community.
