Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking Elementary Teachers to guide students across Lee County toward intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth in a safe, cost-effective environment aligned with district goals.

Responsibilities include planning instruction, creating a conducive classroom, assessing progress, collaborating with colleagues and families, and leveraging technology to support learning while upholding the Florida Code of Ethics and district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate (PreK-3 or Elementary Ed K-6).
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Assess student progress and communicate outcomes to families.

Responsibilities

• Plan individually or cooperatively a program of study meeting student needs.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning.
• Communicate objectives to students and families.
• Employ effective instructional methods and materials to meet goals.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Adhere to ethical codes and district policies.
