Job summary

Intermountain is seeking an Elementary Teacher for a residential school in Helena, MT. You will design and deliver instruction for grades K-8 in a therapeutic setting, focusing on relational healing and academic growth.

The role includes managing individualized education plans, assessments, and coordination with families and staff. A Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and MT Teaching Certificate are required along with a strong commitment to wellness and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education is required.
  • Endorsement or Degree in Special Education is encouraged.
  • Montana Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain one is required.
  • Background check prior to start date is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements group and individualized instruction in compliance with agency, State and Federal Guidelines.
  • Implements lessons and hands-on activities through a variety of materials and resources.
  • Establishes classroom schedules and routines designed to improve self-esteem, learning potential and relational development.
  • Administers and evaluates assessments to identify learning needs to improve educational achievement and instruction.
  • Design, implement and manage the Individualized Education Plan using the Montana electronic system, Infinite Campus (AIM).
  • Implement the Individual Education Plan for out-of-state students in accordance with master contracts and individual services agreements.
