Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy, a network of PreK-12 charter schools, is seeking elementary teachers for our Birmingham, AL campuses. Teachers will introduce and help students master concepts across Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, and ESL, with electives in Art, Spanish, and PE.

You will collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure cross-curricular alignment and student-centered learning, while upholding our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, excellence, and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Valid Alabama teaching license and endorsements in the hired content area or reciprocity with AL.

Responsibilities

• Embodies and models the network's core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, community, and excellence.
• Uses detailed data analysis of student performance to inform best practices.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district regulations.
• Works with Head of School and other administrators to support all students' success.
• Extends the school day to allow for collaboration, professional development, and communication with parents and staff.
