Job description

Due to anticipated growth, Refine KC is seeking to add the following teaching positions to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Elementary Teacher (Full time)
  • Secondary Science Teacher (Part time)

Purpose

The teacher will provide a Christian environment that allows all students to grow both in their academic and spiritual learning.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a productive, collaborative, and Christ-like learning environment.
  • Exhibit strong classroom management skills with students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Lead and model God’s Word through prayer and further discipleship opportunities.
  • Create effective and engaging lessons through a Biblical lens tailored to promote critical thinking, collaboration, and meet the needs of an individual, small group, or an entire class of students.
  • Create, manage, and be flexible with time schedules both within a classroom and within the school’s parameters.
  • Provide daily feedback on learning objectives to students.
  • Make effective decisions on academic mastery, especially in reading, writing, and math, in moving a student to the next academic skill.
  • Collaborate with other school faculty throughout the school day and during faculty meetings.
  • Become a part of the school community by attending school functions.
  • Be an advocate for the mission of Refine KC.
  • Have a willingness to serve in other aspects of the school.
  • Supervise students to keep each student safe and to ensure every student is honoring God with his/her actions and words.
  • Clearly articulate behavior and academic needs to students, parents, and other faculty.
  • Be proficient in general computer tasks (word processing, Google sheets, email), general office tasks, and be able to learn our digital school platform to track attendance and grades.

Qualifications/Requirements

All full-time teaching faculty shall have:

  1. A dedication to serving the Lord through Kingdom education
  2. A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized college or university
  3. State certification and/or ACSI certification preferred but not required.

All employees of Refine KC must remain in agreement with the mission, core values, and statement of faith of Refine KC and may be required to reaffirm annually in writing.
