Job summary

Caniff Liberty Academy is hiring for the 2026–2027 school year. You’ll teach core subjects and help diverse learners, including English language learners, build skills to reach college and beyond.

Certification: Michigan Teaching Certificate with K-8 Self-Contained Endorsement preferred; ITC pathway available. EMAN offers tuition assistance, mentoring in the first 3 years, and on-site professional development every Friday afternoon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with K-8 Self-Contained Endorsement, or pursuing certification via approved pathway.
• Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and commitment to growth.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver core subject instruction matched to each student's current level.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on results.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on progress, behavior, and goals.
• Work with teachers and school leadership to improve curriculum and classroom practice.
• Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and IEP/504 documentation.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
