Reports To: Principal, Assistant Principal
Relates To: District Administrators, Program Coordinator, Student Service Coordinator, Special Service Coordinator, Other faculty and staff, Parents, PTA and Community Groups
Salary: In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of School Inspectors of School District 86, Will County, Illinois, and the American Federation of Teachers- Local 604 of School District #86. Please see the Teachers Contract link for details.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the principal, create a flexible grade program, foster a positive learning environment, establish rapport with students, motivate and develop student skills, and collaborate with parents and staff.
Qualifications: Valid Professional Educator License with Self-Contained General Education Endorsement or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and classroom management skills. Knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Work primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities. Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
Additional Details: Employment is full-time, mid-senior level, primarily indoors, with potential for district and out-of-town travel for training or responsibilities.
