Job Description

As an elementary classroom teacher at Adelante, you will foster the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young scholars. You will implement a dynamic curriculum, emphasizing literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, with opportunities to specialize in subjects like Math and Science. Our educational model leverages classrooms, outdoor environments, and technology, providing diverse hands-on learning experiences. You will also cultivate a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Specific Responsibilities

• Implement curricula meeting Indiana standards.
• Conduct assessments and use data to refine teaching strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with scholars, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in team activities, meetings, and school events.
• Supervise scholars ensuring safety and engagement.
• Attend school events outside regular hours.
• Uphold Adelante's core values and philosophy.
• Be present at school from 7:10 AM to 4:10 PM, with flexible work times from 2:30-4:10 PM.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
