Grand Blanc Community Schools in Michigan seeks a certified teacher to develop lesson plans, adapt instruction, and provide individualized and small group support to students. The role requires diverse instructional strategies and ongoing progress documentation.

• Maintains current student data including relevant measures of academic progress.

• Applicable valid State of Michigan (ZO, ZG) endorsement.

SUMMARY OF PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to...):

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
• Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
• Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students' progress.
• Maintains current student data including all relevant measures of academic progress.

Requirements: Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass:

• Police clearance including digital fingerprinting.
• Reference checks.

Annual Salary

Salary and fringe benefits based upon BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
