Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Pius X/St. Leo School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Elementary Teacher to join our diverse Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering academic excellence, moral development, and spiritual growth in young students. The teacher will create nurturing, differentiated instruction in the learning environment that integrates Catholic teachings into daily instruction that aligns with the Archdiocese standards. The teacher will assess student progress and provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration to support student growth and maintain classroom discipline. This position requires the teacher to develop lesson plans, formulate classroom instruction, and facilitate student learning.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective classroom management
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable and willing to learn technology systems (smartboards, Google, laptops, Student Management Systems)

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in education
Practicing Catholic preferred or strong understanding of the Catholic Faith
Possesses a valid teacher certification from the State of Nebraska
Complete a background check, and the Archdiocese of Omaha required Safe Environment training.
