Job summary

Lead Academy Charter School is seeking an Elementary Teacher (K-4) to coordinate and deliver targeted literacy and mathematics interventions. The role includes data collection, analysis, and collaboration with teachers to drive student growth.

The candidate should hold a 4-year degree with Alabama teaching certification; elementary education degree is preferred. This on-site position runs a standard 187-day term for the 2026-2027 year.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in literacy and/or mathematics instruction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the literacy and/or mathematics intervention program.
• Teach targeted literacy and/or mathematics intervention to identified small groups.
• Assist teachers with data collection, interpret the data, and share analysis with staff.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify needs, set learning goals, and develop best practices.
• Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate interventions.
• Attend professional development to enhance pedagogy and content knowledge.
• Maintain and submit accurate records of student progress.
• Perform other duties related to literacy and/or mathematics as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

4 Year degree

Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification, Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education or higher preferred.

JOB GOAL:

• Coordinate and facilitate the school’s literacy and/or mathematics intervention program
• Teach targeted literacy and/or mathematics intervention to identified small groups
• Assist teachers with the collection of data. Interprets the data and shares the analysis with the appropriate staff members
• Collaborates with teachers to identify the literacy and/or mathematics needs of students, to set learning goals and targets, and to problem solve with teachers to develop best practices for continuous academic growth of students in literacy and/or mathematics
• Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate literacy and/or mathematics intervention
• Attend professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content, especially literacy and/or mathematics
• Maintain and submit accurate and up-to-date management records of all students’ progress
• Perform other duties related to literacy and/or mathematics as assigned by supervisor

SALARY: Board approved salary schedule based on rank, certification and experience.

WORK TERM: 187 days

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026-2027 School Year
