Job summary

BARRINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS in Barrington, RI is seeking an Elementary Substitute Teacher to provide quality instruction for PK–5 students when the regular teacher is absent, following the established curriculum to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons, managing transitions, supervising students, taking attendance, and communicating end-of-day progress to the permanent teacher.

Qualifications

• National BCI required.
• At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

• Administrative Tasks: Take accurate attendance and lunch counts; collect completed student work.
• Communication: Leave a detailed end-of-day report for the permanent teacher regarding student progress, behavior, and any incomplete tasks.
