Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Arizona Substitute or Teacher Certificate & IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Bachelor's degree or higher with credential requirements and student teaching experience.
• Master's degree with academic subject matter major is preferred.
• Depth of training in elementary school curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, language arts, social studies, math, science, art, health, PE, and music to pupils.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter per state law and district regulations.
• Provide planned learning experiences to motivate pupils and adjust objectives by student needs.
• Develop lesson plans and materials for individualized, small group, and whole class instruction.
• Maintain standards of pupil behavior and support district/ site discipline plans.
• Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth and communicate progress to parents.
• Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to support health, emotional, social, and learning issues.
• Create an engaging classroom with displays, centers, and high standards for work.
• Maintain professional development through staff activities and growth opportunities.
• Administer multi-measure assessment tests as per testing program.
• Select and requisition books and supplies; keep inventory records.
• Operate a computer and standard office equipment.
• Supervise students during the day and assist with classroom activities.
• Participate in curriculum development and faculty meetings.
