Job summary

Dwight-Englewood School is seeking Substitute Teachers for Pre-K 3 through 5th grade to support students, teachers, and families. The Lower School focuses on growth and development, with emphasis on listening and collaboration in a diverse community. Requirements include sixty college credits, knowledge of child development and classroom expectations, and a commitment to equity.

Prior elementary experience is preferred. Daily rate is $150 for a full day and $90 for a half day.

Qualifications

• Understanding of child development, curriculum expectations and benchmarks for elementary students.
• Experience with and commitment to diversity and equity work with young children.
• Previous experience in an elementary school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and model the mission and development of students, families, and community members.
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmental, social, emotional and cognitive issues of elementary grades.
