Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools seeks an Elementary STEAM/PLTW Instructor to lead PLTW implementation across multiple elementary buildings. This 1.0 FTE role reports to Building Principals and focuses on enhancing STEAM instruction through professional development and strategic collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a Michigan teaching certificate, elementary classroom experience, and a passion for Project Lead The Way. PLTW certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Michigan Elementary K-5 or K-8 teaching certificate.
• Experience working with elementary students and evidence of highly qualified status.
• PLTW certification is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of STEAM integration and Project Lead The Way concepts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and implement the PLTW Curriculum under the Principal's direction.
• Plan instructional resources and support STEAM/PLTW activities to boost learning.
• Provide consultation and professional development to administrators and staff.
• Coordinate training for teachers in Project Based Learning and STEAM.
• Foster partnerships with districts, universities, and external partners.
