Providence Public Schools District (PPSD) seeks an exceptional ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EDUCATION (SPED) SELF-CONTAINED ALTERNATE (SCA) TEACHER who is highly qualified to join our community of educators and learners. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
• RIDE Certification Requirements: Elementary Special Education Teacher, Grades KG-8 AND All Grades Special Education - Severe Intellectual Disability, Grades PK-12.
• ESL Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with RI State Standards.
• Provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities per IEPs.
• Collaborate with SPED Managers, BCBA, staff and paraprofessionals to create least restrictive environment.
