Job summary

The Ledyard School District seeks a Special Education Teacher for the Rise Program at Gallup Hill School to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. Qualifications

• Connecticut Special Education Certification required (165, 065 or 265).
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with significant cognitive disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) designed to promote students' educational, physical, and/or social development.
• Write accurate and thorough assessment reports, IEPs and progress reports.
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings, PPTs, and parent meetings.
• Provide ongoing training and supervision to paraeducators and general educators to implement IEPs with fidelity.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and paraprofessionals.
