Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Associate's degree or higher from GaPSC-accepted institution preferred.
• Two years of college coursework (60 semester hours) above remedial level required/acceptable.
• Passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Prompt and regular attendance.
• In person classroom instruction support.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and documentation.
• Assist teachers with clerical duties, grading papers, and preparing materials.
• Assist in bulletin boards and health care procedures for students.
• Support students with physical needs and daily care.
• Supervise groups or individuals as needed and accompany field trips.
• Attend professional development activities and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
