Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a local contract in Lancaster, SC to deliver individualized instruction and support student progress in an elementary setting.

You will develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, adapt lessons, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote academic and social development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid South Carolina Special Education Certification (including Multi-Categorical or related certifications such as ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe).
• Experience supporting elementary students with moderate to significant learning and developmental needs and ability to collaborate with instructional assistants and multidisciplinary teams.

Position Overview

Help elementary students discover their strengths and reach their goals! Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Lancaster, SC, to deliver individualized instruction, support student progress, and help elementary learners build the skills they need to succeed.

Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a special education setting, adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs.

Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and individualized instructional plans in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams.

Use appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and behavioral supports to promote academic, social-emotional, communication, and functional development.

Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and participate in team meetings and required special education processes.

Qualifications
