Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services in Waterman, IL is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver targeted instruction to Elementary School students with IEPs, in learning centers or classrooms. You will design personalized lessons, integrate technology, and align with state standards.

The role emphasizes PBIS, collaboration with parents and staff, and maintaining detailed progress reports, while creating an inclusive environment and managing caseloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field.
• Valid IL professional educator (PEL) credential in process or current.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or current.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in co-teaching or learning center settings.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to state standards and IEP goals.
• Track progress, maintain records, and generate progress reports.
• Implement PBIS strategies and manage a diverse classroom.
