Job summary

East Haven Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Momauguin Elementary School to support students with autism and diverse learning needs. The role requires a CT Teaching Certificate in Special Education and a strong literacy background.

You will collaborate with a team including a SLP, School Psychologist, and School Social Worker to implement IEPs and drive data-informed instruction in a fully in-person setting.

Qualifications

• CT Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Endorsement 165) and BA/MA from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with autism and literacy-focused instruction.
• Strong collaboration with SLP, School Psychologist, and School Social Worker.

Responsibilities

• Promote language development and acquisition.
• Assist in developing behavioral and social skills.
