PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist the special education teacher in providing for the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a special education setting. Responsibilities include implementing classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instructional activities. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.

Functional Academics and Communication Integration (FACI): FACI services are designed to meet individual student needs through developing academic and adaptive skills using an alternate curriculum aligned with grade-level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and specific individualized functional proficiencies. These include enhancing communication, behavioral, motor, and self-help skills, with application in age-appropriate vocational, social, and community activities. Annual Stipend: $3500
