Elementary Special Education Teacher (Anticipated)

  • Ability to form and maintain working and professional relationships with district staff and parents
  • Possesses the skill and willingness to ensure that students’ social and emotional needs are addressed
  • Developing and implementing individualized programs of instruction to meet the needs of students
  • Participating as an educational team member for the success of all students
  • Uses technology to enhance lessons and stay current with changing trends
  • Must demonstrate the ability to connect with all students and actively engage them in learning
  • Communicates well with a variety of audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and exhibit professional growth
  • Performs other such duties as may reasonably be assigned
Preferred Skills/Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement, qualified to teach in Michigan
  • Show passion about the teaching/learning process for every child

  • Provide customer service atmosphere for students and parents
  • Engagement in the process of continual improvement
