The University of Massachusetts Lowell is hiring part-time program supervisors to oversee teacher candidates in their practicum. This role requires a Master's degree in Education and significant teaching experience, focusing on observation, coaching, and collaboration with faculty. Supervisors conduct regular assessments and meetings to ensure candidates meet state requirements and enhance their professional development.
General Summary of Position:
University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking part-time program supervisors with interest and experience teaching elementary or special education in public schools to supervise teacher candidates in their practicum. Program Supervisors observe, coach, and train undergraduate candidates seeking teacher licensure, working collaboratively with teacher preparation faculty on supervision protocols, and executing the state mandated Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP). Supervisions typically occur 1-2 times per month on weekdays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., in schools located within an hour of Lowell, MA. Supervisors observe and meet regularly with teacher candidates during their practicum.

The position is typically available each semester, with review of applications in July/August for the Fall semester and November for the Spring semester.
