Job summary

American Leadership Academy is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Radiance Elementary campus for the 2026-2027 year. Candidates must be willing to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs, delivering instruction, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and documenting student progress while collaborating with SPED and general education staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help deliver instruction in various subjects and adapt materials for diverse learners.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment and promote respectful behavior.
• Support students one-on-one or in small groups as needed.
• Observe and document student performance and behavior; provide feedback to SPED Teacher.
• Collaborate with SPED Teacher, general education teachers, and support staff for cohesive learning.
• Encourage social interactions and help students build friendships.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year for our Radiance Elementary campus. Candidates must be willing to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the implementation of IEPs for students with disabilities, following specific goals and objectives outlined by the SPED Teacher.
• Help the SPED Teacher with delivering instruction in various subjects, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, promoting respectful behavior and encouraging student engagement.
• Support students in participating in learning activities, providing one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
• Observe and document student performance and behavior, providing feedback to the SPED Teacher regarding individual student progress.
• Work closely with the SPED Teacher, general education teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
• Encourage social interactions among students, helping them build friendships and navigate social situations within the classroom and school environment.
• Assist in preparing and organizing instructional materials, resources, and equipment for classroom activities.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
