Job summary

Seaman School District USD 345 seeks a Special Education Teacher for the Elementary District Wide Program serving students with emotional disabilities. You will manage a caseload, communicate with families and staff, and develop, revise, and implement IEPs.

Reports to Building Principal and Director of Special Services. 186 days/year. Requires KS teaching license and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: Bachelor's in Special Education with appropriate licensure.
• Ability to write valid IEPs and follow IDEA procedures.
• Experience in behavior management and collaborative problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultation with staff, parents, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and behavioral programming for students.
• Implement Behavioral and Functional Assessments for students.
• Assist and support staff and parents in development and revision of IEPs.
• Facilitate team processes including IEP development for students with special needs.
• Provide support to staff in areas related to emotional disturbance and behavioral disorders.
