Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools is seeking a Licensed Social Worker/Social Emotional Program Lead for an Elementary Setting III program at Greenwood Elementary. This role focuses on leading a trauma-informed, restorative SEL program for students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs, providing direct and indirect services and maintaining classroom structure.

The position is 1.0 FTE with starting ASAP and a compensation range of $52,308 to $123,452 depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• LICSW certification required for school social work.
• Experience with intensive behavioral needs and trauma-impacted youth.
• Knowledge of restorative practices and SEL frameworks (CASEL).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Setting III elementary program serving students with social-emotional needs.
• Collaborate with IEP teams and related service providers to align with goals.
• Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation.
• Provide direct and indirect SEL instruction and therapeutic support.
• Develop and implement BIPs using trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
• Engage in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and recovery processes.
