Elementary School: Teaching Fellow - Greater Boston (2025-2026)

We seek to provide a world-class education for students from educationally underserved communities in Lynn and Boston.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Classroom Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that all children feel affirmed, valued, and challenged every day.
  2. Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
  3. Create and internalize rigorous and engaging unit and daily lesson plans.
  4. Set specific, ambitious growth goals for all students.
  5. Use best practices, including differentiation, to execute engaging instruction.
  6. Regularly analyze student work and academic data to modify lessons.
  7. Maintain accurate student grades/records and strong lines of communication with students and families.

School and Professional Responsibilities

  1. Participate in school-wide and individual professional development.
  2. Take ownership for the development of your craft and seek feedback.
  3. Perform necessary support duties including coverage, bus, lunch, and transition duties.
  4. Develop strong relationships with families through school events and consistent communication.
  5. Collaborate with grade level and content teams.
  6. Dependable attendance according to our school calendar.

General Requirements and Responsibilities

  1. Embody KIPP MA’s Code of Conduct.
  2. Work toward MTEL requirements and SEI endorsements.
  3. Participate and engage in regional professional development.
  4. Demonstrated ability to collect and interpret data.
  5. Effective communication skills to perform assigned duties.
  6. Physical mobility to execute duties effectively.
  7. KIPP MA teachers are supported by experienced leadership and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Love and unwavering belief in the high potential of all students.
  2. Commitment to anti-racism and equity.
  3. Passion for subject/content area.
  4. Desire to become proficient in the craft of teaching.
  5. Prior experience working with children encouraged, but not required.
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Bachelor’s Degree required.
  8. Pass Criminal Background Check.
