Icahn Charter School 1 is seeking a Regular Full-Time Classroom Teacher for the New York, NY area to join a K-6 program. The ideal candidate will hold NYS Certification in Early Childhood or Childhood Education and bring a strong belief in equitable student achievement.

The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, collaboration, and active, standards-aligned learning. Salary ranges from $71,027 to $81,956 annually with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required (official transcript acceptable if pending graduation)
• NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education and/or Childhood Education
• Candidates with additional certification in Students with Disabilities, Literacy, and/or Mathematics will be given priority
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Teaching experience (2+ years preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Create an active learning environment with objectives aligned to the Core Knowledge curriculum and NYS Learning Standards
• Differentiate instruction and assessments to support engaged learning, higher-order thinking and authentic use of knowledge
• Maintain strong classroom management and adhere to school policies
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Collaborate in grade-level and school-wide activities; participate in committees as needed
