Job summary

Falls Church City Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to join our staff and provide engaging learning experiences. The role reports to the school principal and involves creating a conducive learning environment, supervising students, and monitoring outcomes.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and a Virginia Teaching License with endorsement in the teaching area. Experience with educational technology is preferred and willingness to pursue training as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a bachelor's degree.
• Must meet Virginia Department of Education requirements to hold or be eligible for a teaching license with endorsement in the area.
• Experience with computer technology is desired and preferred; willing to pursue technology training as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences for students under the principal's direction.
• Create an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development for all students.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor student outcomes.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and the community.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet diverse needs.
• Maintain records and follow required procedures and practices.
