Job summary

Carney Sandoe & Associates seeks a Lead Elementary School Teacher for immediate start at independent schools in the NYC area. The role focuses on hands-on early childhood literacy, integrated learning, and a nurturing classroom community, with collaboration across grade-level teams. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (Master’s preferred) with 2 years of K-12 teaching experience, excellent communication, and professional conduct.

U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of hands-on and integrated learning and early literacy; energetic and flexible.
• Strong pedagogical background; collaborate with colleagues and work with early elementary students.
• Build a joyful, nurturing classroom community that fosters curiosity and growth.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to plan and teach an integrated program (literacy, writing, math, science, social studies, SEL).
• Supervise children in classroom, during recess, dismissal, and field trips.

• U.S. Work Authorization required.
