Job summary

Wood Dale School District 7 seeks a School Social Worker to provide temporary coverage for an FMLA leave at Oak Brook Elementary School, serving kindergarten through second grade. The role focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs through direct services, classroom support, assessment, and collaboration with staff and families.

The leave replacement maintains continuity of services and supports existing plans while addressing student needs during the assignment

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement.
• Master's degree in social work.
• Knowledge of elementary students' social-emotional development and IEP/504 processes.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group services per IEPs and Section 504 plans.
• Support MTSS with problem-solving meetings, data collection, and progress monitoring.
• Complete social-emotional and behavioral evaluation components with interviews, observations, and reports.
• Develop and update IEP present levels, goals, service recommendations, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with the school psychologist and other staff to implement Section 504 services.
• Provide classroom SEL lessons and consultation to help apply skills throughout the day.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress and resources.
• Maintain accurate service logs, evaluation records, and required documentation.
