Job summary

Nashua School District seeks a Continuing Substitute School Nurse (RN) for Broad Street Elementary School in Nashua, NH. This role starts in 2026-2027 and reports to the Principal.

Ideal candidate holds NH RN license, Bachelor's in Nursing, and CPR/First Aid certifications, with 3+ years in pediatric nursing and strong communication skills. Knowledge of student databases and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NH Registered Nurse with bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Certified by the State Board of Education.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Three years of pediatric nursing or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with student/patient databases and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Care for emergencies and provide first aid; arrange for further treatment if needed.
• Inspect students for body cleanliness and signs of communicable disease; follow up as required.
• Notify parents of illness and inform the school office when students are released.
• Under the Principal's direction, inquire into unexplained pupil absences.
• Check immunization records for compliance and inform parents and Principal of deficiencies.
• Coordinate medical screenings and referrals for exams and for families in need.
• Ensure compliance with laws and district policies on medication administration.
• Maintain health, medication, clinic and examination records; keep daily activity logs.
